Blackout

At one time, the US-based Hamilton Watch Company stood at the center of horological excellence.

At its heart was the 921caliber, an impeccably accurate pocket watch movement built with meticulous decoration and finishing.

But time changes value. As gold prices rose, countless pocket watch cases were melted for scrap.

What remained: The movements. The dials. On some, solid gold components, including a gold center wheel and 10 to 14K gold numerals.

The 921’s accuracy, beauty, and proportions make it ideal for resurrection. Slim enough to become a wristwatch.

We fully restore each movement. Then regulate it to perform at its original factory tolerances, or better.

Then:

Each dial is stripped to bare metal.
Refinished in deep, unforgiving black.
The hands and numerals are polished.
Tracks are reprinted.

The result:
Gold against dark.
Modern, bold, unmistakable.

This isn’t a restoration.
It’s a reawakening.

Housed in a 45mm precision-machined 316L stainless steel case. 12mm thin.
Sapphire crystal. Exhibition caseback.

Built to be worn, not archived.
