Refund policy

 

Rampart Studio produces watches in limited, deliberate production runs. Our pieces are not mass-manufactured commodities; they are small-batch mechanical instruments built with care and intention. Because of this production model, we ask customers to purchase thoughtfully.

We are always available to answer sizing, strap, specification, and fit questions prior to purchase.

 

RETURN WINDOW

We accept return requests within five (5) business days of confirmed delivery. The return request must be submitted in writing to support@rampartstudio.com within this window. The five-day period begins on the delivery date confirmed by the carrier.

After five (5) business days, all sales are final.

 

CONDITION REQUIREMENTS

To qualify for a refund, the watch must meet all of the following conditions:

Unworn and unused

No scratches, marks, strap creasing, or signs of handling

No resizing of bracelet or strap modification

All protective films intact

All original packaging, inserts, tools, warranty card, tags, and accessories included

No engraving or personalization

No signs of moisture exposure

Any watch that shows wear, damage, modification, or missing materials may be denied return or subject to a restocking/refinishing fee at Rampart Studio’s sole discretion.

 

We reserve the right to inspect all returns before approving a refund.

 

REFUNDS

Approved returns will be refunded to the original payment method.

The following are non-refundable:

Original & return shipping charges

Insurance fees

Payment processing fees (if applicable)

Duties, VAT, or customs fees

Any import/export taxes paid

Refunds are processed within 7–10 business days after inspection and approval.

 

If the returned watch does not meet the required condition, we may:

Decline the return and ship the watch back at the customer’s expense, or

Apply a reasonable restocking or refinishing fee

 

NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS

The following items are final sale and not eligible for return or refund:

Limited edition releases marked final sale

Pre-orders and deposit-based reservations

Custom-configured watches

Engraved or personalized pieces

Replacement straps and accessories

Tools, buckles, bracelets purchased separately

 

Deposits for pre-orders are non-refundable unless Rampart Studio is unable to deliver the product.

 

RETURN AUTHORIZATION PROCESS

Do not ship a watch back without written authorization.

To initiate a return, email: support@rampartstudio.com

 

Include:

Order number

Delivery date

Reason for return

Clear photographs of the watch and all packaging

 

If approved, we will provide return instructions.

 

The customer is responsible for:

Fully insured, trackable shipping

Proper protective packaging

Risk of loss during transit

Rampart Studio is not responsible for items lost or damaged during return shipping.

 

WARRANTY POLICY

Every Rampart Studio watch includes a two (2) year limited warranty from the date of delivery. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.

Mechanical watches are precision instruments. Minor variations in timekeeping are normal and do not constitute a defect.

 

WARRANTY COVERS

 

The warranty covers:

Mechanical movement defects under normal use

Failure of winding or time-setting mechanisms

Manufacturing defects in the case, crown, or crystal

Improperly secured dial, hands, or movement

Significant timekeeping malfunction (defined as a deviation exceeding +/- 60 seconds per day under normal wear conditions)

 

Additional Vintage Movement Disclosure:

 

Some Rampart Studio watches incorporate restored or reconditioned vintage mechanical movements. These movements were originally manufactured under different technical standards than modern calibers and may exhibit timekeeping variation, positional drift, and performance characteristics that differ materially from contemporary movements.

Vintage movements are not engineered to modern water-resistance, shock-resistance, or anti-magnetic standards. Owners should expect greater sensitivity to impact, moisture, and environmental exposure. Timekeeping tolerances for vintage movements may reasonably exceed those of modern movements and do not constitute a defect unless deemed excessive by Rampart Studio after inspection.

 

 

At our discretion, we will repair or replace the defective component or the watch itself.

If replacement is required and the same model is unavailable, Rampart Studio reserves the right to replace it with a model of equal value and similar specifications.

 

WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER

 

The warranty does not cover:

 

Normal wear and tear

Scratches, dents, or case wear

Strap or bracelet wear

Water damage from misuse or exceeding rated resistance

Damage from impact, dropping, or trauma

Magnetization due to environmental exposure

Unauthorized servicing or case opening

Crystal breakage due to impact

Loss or theft

Damage caused by improper handling or negligence

Cosmetic aging of lume or coatings

 

Opening the case or servicing the watch by any party other than Rampart Studio or an authorized service partner will void the warranty.

 

SERVICE OUTSIDE WARRANTY

 

After the warranty period, we are happy to service your watch for a reasonable fee.

For out-of-warranty service:

The customer is responsible for shipping both ways

We will provide an estimate before beginning work

If repair is declined, return shipping will be at the customer’s expense

 

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

 

Rampart Studio’s liability is strictly limited to repair or replacement of the watch as described above.

 

We are not liable for:

Incidental or consequential damages

Loss of time, use, or value

Indirect or punitive damages

Nothing in this policy affects statutory rights that may apply under local law.

We produce watches in deliberate, controlled runs because we believe mechanical timepieces deserve attention — in design, in assembly, and in service. Our aim is simple: to make watches that owners are proud to wear and comfortable keeping for a lifetime.

 

Many of our pieces reflect traditional watchmaking values and, in some cases, the preservation of vintage mechanical heritage. These are not disposable goods. They are mechanical instruments shaped by craft, patience, and respect for the materials involved.

 

We want our clients to genuinely love their watch — the feel of it on the wrist, the way it ages, the way it becomes familiar. We care deeply about quality that lasts, about thoughtful construction, and about standing behind what we make.

 

Our policies exist to protect that standard. Clear expectations allow us to focus on craftsmanship and long-term support rather than short-term transactions.
